What's in Ryan Moore's golf bag?

Golf Course Directory is going to do something a little different every once in a while. We have decided to start profiling some of the famous golfers that play on the golf courses we review. In this article we are going to discuss one of the hot upcoming players, Ryan Moore. Ryan Moore has recently won his first PGA tournament and is one of the few professional golfers that doesn’t have a club endorsement.

It’s not like Ryan can get one of the best golf clubs manufacturer to sponsor him, its that he prefers to switch clubs as he wishes without having to worry about a contract. Here are the current golf clubs played by Ryan Moore.

Best Golf Equipment Reviews recently took another trip to Palm Springs and had the opportunity to play some of the best golf courses in Palm Springs. The first round we played at was SilverRock. SilverRock is a great golf course and very challenging. Since we have already done a SilverRock golf course review, we are going to concentrate on the other Palm Springs golf course that we played, La Quinta Golf Club.

The Golf Club at La Quinta use to be known as Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta. Nothing has changed with the golf course just the owners! The Golf Club at La Quinta was the host of the Skins game for a few years in the early 2000's. It is located at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in La Quinta, California, and is a daily fee 18-hole championship golf course designed by golf course architect Gary Panks. There are five sets of tees with the back tees measuring 6,883 yards with a 72.7 rating and 127 slope. It is a par 72.

Best Golf Equipment Reviews loved The Golf Club at La Quinta. During this golf vacation Best Golf Equipment Reviews tried out a new TaylorMade R9 with a special graphite shaft. We hit it good but what was the key to the round was how accurate we were hitting the Callaway X22 irons.

Best Golf Equipment Reviews has been getting a lot of requests for the Golf Course Directory blog to start reviewing some of the best golf equipment. We have taken that into consideration and are now going to start posting some golf club reviews every few posts. So here is the first golf club review on the Golf Course Directory blog!

Best Golf Equipment Reviews has recently purchased a set of the Callaway X22 irons. We have played Callaway golf clubs for about 7 years when we decided to switch over from the TaylorMade golf clubs. We had no complaints about the TaylorMade golf clubs and still love the TaylorMade R9 driver....we got a free set of Callaway X16 irons and couldn't pass them up!

The Callaway X22 irons look similar to the other X series irons with some modifications to make them better. One of the major changes is the VFT. That means variable face thickness. VLF lowers the center of gravity allowing for a better ball trajectory. The Callaway X22 irons still have the bore thru hosel, very clean top line, and available in both men's and woman's.

The Callaway X22 irons are available at all major golf club stores. We purchased our set at a local Golf Mart for about $699.00 in a steel shaft. Graphite shafts are available for about $200 more. If you are in the market for some new golf irons and are looking for the best golf irons, you have to try out the Callaway X22 irons.

Palm Spring Golf Courses

Hey fellow golfers, let me first start off by saying that I'm saying for the time it has taken me to post this blog. I have been very busy at work. I recently had to go to a class on the Glock guns and found it very interesting. Enough of my police gear talk! This is a golf equipment and golf course site!

So two weeks ago, I took the family down to Palm Springs for a little R&R! It was so much fun. We absolutely love it down there. We stayed at the JW Marriot in Desert Hot Springs. The JW Marriott has two golf courses, Palm and Valley. Both of the courses are very nice for being resort courses. They are forgiving, yet challenging. When we played them they were in good shape considering it was the summer time. What was even nicer is that during twilight, juniors get to golf for free! Can't beat that. Definitely check out the JW Marriot that next time you are in Palm Springs and want to hit your Callaway X22 irons in the sun!

We also played a round at Desert Willow. As we have profiled before here, Desert Willow is a great golf course. It was in excellent condition and is always a challenge. During the summer the prices weren't too bad. I paid $40 at 1 pm and my son was only charged $20 because he is a junior. I think the morning fees are still only around $50 or $60 so still not to bad.

Badlands Golf Course

This is an update from Best Golf Equipment Reviews last article on Las Vegas golf courses. In that article we profiled the Badlands golf course. On our recent trip to Las Vegas this week, we had the opportunity to play Badlands golf course.

To start with, Best Golf Equipment Reviews should give you some history on our threesome. I am a 3 handicap player, and the other two players play under 6 times a year! So we had the extremes! In fact, I had to bring one of the other players some golf clubs to play with! I hooked him up with a set of Callaway 22 irons and a TaylorMade R9 driver.

Badlands golf course is a great golf course for all types of players. It had some amazing views and challenging holes. We played the championship 18 which is the tougher 18 holes out of the 27 holes. This is a typical desert golf course but also a links style. So if you mess the fairway you are in the dessert terrain or worst off down in a ravine!

The greens were very good and held my Callaway golf balls excellent. They rolled pure and weren’t overly difficult. The fairways were in excellent condition and made hitting my friend’s Ping irons off of them easy. Although he wasn’t on the fairway that often!

Don’t expect to carry your Ping bags on this course. Carts are mandatory and a true necessity.

Ocean Club Golf Course - The Ocean Club Golf Course is the premier golf course in the Bahamas. It is located just down the street from the popular Atlantis Resort and is an awesome golf course.

The Ocean Club Golf Course was designed by Tom Weiskopf and managed by Troon Golf. The course is a par 72 and plays any where from 4995 yards to 7159 yards. From the gold tees it is 6676 yards and is rated 72.9/137.

The Ocean Club Golf Course sits right on the crystal clear blue waters of Paradise Island. It is very scenic and definitely a place you want to bring your Brunton binoculars to.

Couer d'Alene Resort - Idaho's best golf course

Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course- The Coeur d’Alene golf course is one of Idaho’s best golf courses. It is a five star ranked golf course according to Golf Digest. Perhaps Coeur d’Alene is best known for their floating green on a par 3.

The Coeur d’Alene golf course is a par 71 and measures 6,803 from the gold tees. From the blue tees it plays 6,343 yards. The course is spread over 200 acres and has lake views on all 18 holes!

Each foursome gets a caddie to show them around the golf course. Also at the Coeur d’Alene golf course is a driving range that is over water. Every practice ball is also a floating ball. Lets see your favorite Callaway golf balls float!

Desert Willow golf resort has two awesome golf courses, Firecliff and Mountain View. Firecliff is plays over 7,000 yards from the black tees and is a par 72. The Slop on Firecliff is 138 with a rating of 73.6. There are over 100 bunkers and waste areas on the Firecliff golf course so you better bring your favorite wedges made by Titleist golf clubs so that you can escape them! The Mountain View golf course offers some beautiful views. It is over 6,900 yards from the black tees and is also a par 72. The Mountain View is a little less difficult than Firecliff but don’t let your guard down or you will be losing plenty of your favorite Callaway golf balls! In addition to the two golf courses, Desert Willow has a fully stocked golf equipment shop at the resort.

SilverRock golf course opened up in 2006 and was one of the host courses for the 2009 Bob Hope Classic in which Pat Perez won. The Dunes Club golf course is one of the oldest Myrtle Beach golf courses. It was built in 1948 and designed by Robert Trent Jones. The course has a rating of 75.7 and a slope of 144. While playing the Dunes Club golf course there is no need for your Brunton binoculars because the awesome views are directly upon you! This has got to be one of the best places in Myrtle Beach to unpack your Titleist Z Blend irons and play with them!

Singing Hills Country Club

Singing Hills Country Club- What more can be said about Singing Hills County Club than absolutely beautiful. Singing Hills features a nice resort, three 18 hole golf courses, large practice area, restaurants, and a casino. Yes a casino! Singing Hills golf course is owned by the Sycuan Indian tribe and has a casino about 2 miles from the golf courses. Best Golf Equipment Reviews loves Singing Hills Country Club.

Singing Hills Country Club has been host to many PGA sanctioned tournaments including the popular Junior World Championship. As mentioned earlier, there are three golf courses at Singing Hills. Willow Glen and Oak Glen are 18 hole regulation golf courses and Pine Glen is one of San Diego’s premiere executive golf courses.

Willow Glen is a par 72 that tips out at 6687 yards. With a rating of 72.6 and a slope of 130 this is a very challenging, yet friendly golf course. There are a few lakes that come into play and several holes with breathtaking views of the valley. One of the most beautiful holes on the Willow Glen is the 4th hole. On this short par 4 you stand a couple hundred feet above the fairway and greenside lake! From the tees you might get the nerves to pull your TaylorMade R9 out and go for it, but watch out. Its all carry over the lake!

Oak Glen is also a par 72 course that plays 6682 yards from the blue tees. It has a 71.9 rating and a slope of 130. While this is slightly easier that Willow Glen, don’t let your guard down. As the name says, there are plenty of Oak trees on the course so bring plenty of Callaway golf balls in case you lose some in the trees!

Pine Glen is not just another executive golf course, it is one of the best executive golf courses in San Diego. Pine Glen is a par 54 with plenty of challenges. A lot of local pros like to throw some of their golf equipment into one of their Ping golf bags and play a quick 18 on Pine Glen.

Singing Hills Country Club has a fully stocked golf shop. They carry all of the best golf clubs and golf shoes including FootJoy golf shoes.

Surrounding by rolling hills, La Purisima golf course features the 33’rd toughest golf hole according to Golf Digest! Don’t worry, there are 17 holes to make up for that one hole! Make sure you bring plenty of Callaway golf balls for that one hole!!

La Purisima is a par 72 golf course. The yardage range from 5,763 to 7,105. From the back tees it has a 75.6 rating and a 143 slope! With those kind of numbers, it’s no wonder why they have hosted the PGA Tour qualifying and why you have to be hitting your TaylorMade R9 driver straight and long!

Best Golf Equipment Reviews likes the La Purisima golf course. It is very challenging and scenic. It can get very windy out there in the afternoon so make sure you bring a golf windbreaker. Barona golf course was home to the 2008 Nationwide Tour Championship. The golf course is situated on the Barona Indian reservation. The reservation features a relatively new hotel, casino, and great food!

Barona golf course is nestled within the rolling foothills of the Barona reservation. In the back drop you can see the hotel and casino. Both of while are easy on the eye. Welcome to the best Golf Course Directory! This is my first post and I’m excited to start posting some of my favorite golf courses and hear about your favorites. A little bit about me first. I have been playing golf for about 17 years and am down to a scratch golfer. I currently play what I think are the best golf clubs, Callaway golf clubs! I used to play TaylorMade golf clubs when I worked in the pro shop at a local golf course, but switched about three years ago.

As I mentioned above, I used to work in the pro shop of a local golf course. I did that for about six years and then went to work for one of the biggest golf equipment stores for another two years. Working at that store really allowed me to learn a lot about golf equipment. Prior to all this, I worked at another golf course mowing greens. That was fun except for waking up at 3 am!

So why did I choose to do this golf course directory? To start with, I have played hundreds of golf courses ranging from San Diego golf courses, Las Vegas golf courses, Hilton Head golf courses, Hawaii golf courses, and many more. All too often, I would go play in a tournament and show up a day or two early to hit the local links only to find they were horrible! This golf course directory is designed to point out the good and bad golf courses so that you don’t waste your hard earn money.

In addition to this site, I have started a golf equipment reviews website. I love researching golf equipment so why not put my hard work down on paper for other people to benefit from.
